Marick were appointed by Aviva to act as the Fund’s monitoring surveyor for this exciting project in a prime location, adjacent to Cambridge train station. The scheme comprised the demolition of an existing building (Leda House) and the construction of a new six storey commercial building, including 5th floor terrace, roof space and basement.
The basement contains parking spaces for 56 cars and 5 motorcycles, together with 10 electric vehicle charging points and facilities for cyclists including showers, lockers, changing rooms, and drying rooms.
A number of sustainability initiatives have been included in the project including air source heat pumps, PV cells and a BREEAM “Excellent” target. The appointment continues Marick’s successful and long-standing relationship with Aviva.
