A big thank you to Jessica Lowther and Laurie Matthews from RSK Group Headland who put together a fantastic presentation, and show and tell, for the visit to the Park Street Church of England School in Cambridge last week.
Daniel Wiltshire, from Marick, joined them to meet the pupils from years 3 – 6, in 2x 1 hour class sessions, and talk about the Development and the Archaeology finds at our nearby Park Street Cambridge project.
The pupils learned about how the investigations were undertaken, what kind of fascinating archaeology was discovered, such as: Roman wine flagons, jewellery, pottery, bone carvings, structures and hundreds of more articles. There were a few activities such as bone carving (using soap instead), archaeology finds to hold, and an interactive timeline.
It was well worth the trip to the school and we all hope that the children enjoyed the visit.
